Once shipped shipping & handling is non refundable.   A shipping notification will be sent upon shipping.About Notification &Tracking For Priority MAIL allow 2-3 postal delivery days after shipping for delivery. For 1st class allow 2-4 days postal delivery days after shipping for delivery. For Parcel Post allow 4-9 days postal delivery days after shipping for delivery. Parcel post items always ship separately by parcel post due to their weight We will make every effort if in one day Two Orders are placed to combine the two orders into one box and upgrade if possible as above. CONFIRMATION OF YOUR ORDER: A receipt can be printed at the end of ordering before you exit- this is your confirmation that your order has gone through.   Also an e-mail confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address you provided with the order. The cost of shipping is next to each item along with its price. It also shows in the shopping cart. The method of shipping is shown also next to each item, such as "Ships Priority Mail".Most items ship priority mail.   Shipping & handling is calculated per item; but if we can combine items in a single package and save on shipping/handling we will send a bit more metal than shows on the invoice or label.   Also we quite often upgrade First Class Mail packages to priority mail on orders with multiple items. Shipping method is shown next to each items "add to cart" button. Most items ship priority mail. Parcel post items almost often ship Parcel Post due to their weight.       Tracking: Your own tracking number will be e-mailed to you from the US Postal Service upon shipping. Your number can be used to track your package by going to: www.usps.gov   First class mail samples may not have a tracking number issued.   Tracking and confirmation may not arrive by e-mail if your e-mail address was incorrectly entered when ordering. Make sure your spam blocker does not block this if you wish to track your order.   If you have a PayPal account you can also track your order by loggin in at Paypal.com with your e mail address and your password.   Allow up to 3-5 days from shipping date for the US Postal system to list online information on a shipment. Lately tracking information does not show other than it was shipped until a package is about to be delivered. We are unable to provide any more tracking information than what is shown by the US POSTAL SERVICE.   Also some times the post office will send a tracking number to you but did not scan the package in when shipped. The package will usually get there before the final delivery scan.   If you do not receive the tracking number it is possible your spam blocker has blocked the e-mail or that it is being sent to another of your e-mail addresses as you list with pay-pal.   If you believe your package is lost E-MAIL US with your tracking number no earlier than 14 days after ordering and we will be able to proceed with the US Postal Service problem from there. We are unable to give tracking information by phone.   SHIPPING ADDRESS: When ordering please give your correct postal delivery address, this automatically goes on your shipping label. This appears on the final page before you pay. SEE A PICTURE OF WHERE SHIPPING ADDRESS IS SHOWN & EDITED Otherwise packages will ship to the shipping address that was originally provided to your Pay Pal account.         INCORRECT SHIPPING ADDRESS:We are unable to change shipping address or shipping method on an order for security reasons. E-MAIL US Immediately if the address is wrong. If you contact us before an order is shipped we will refund and the items can be reordered. Orders sometimes ship within minutes of ordering and correction is not possible.   Shipping address must appear in the shipping address area of the order provided or edited on the last page of the order before sending payment. (this shows just beneath the payment button and scrolling down may be necessary.) We cannot use a different address provided in the message field or by e mail later.(see above paragraph) We will refund on these orders so that a new order with desired a ship to address can be placed.   Also note e-mails are not instant messaging. Some sent may not get through the system until 6 hours later if there is high internet traffic. This happens especially with free or inexpensive e-mail accounts where mail is batch processed at off peak hours.       UNDELIVERABLE ADDRESSES: Actual Shipping & handling cost is non refundable on returns due to undeliverability : because shipping is non refundable by the US Postal Service.   Actual Shipping cost & handling is non refundable; even if we charged less than actual shipping,which we quite often do, or if shipping was included in the price of an item   Returns for other reasons than our error may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. If a package is shipped to an address provided and is unclaimed or undelivered no refund will be given unless the item is returned by the post office. When ordering make sure the items are correct in an order before confirming:Shipping method ,items or address can not be changed once an order is placed due to security reasons. Calls or e-mails about an order will only delay shipping. Orders go out quickly ,but If you contact us before an order is shipped we will refund and the items can be reordered..       We ship only in the 50 states of USA. We do not ship outside the 50 states of USA as we are unable to guarantee delivery nor predict what restrictions and import duty or fees may be added on upon arrival in various countries. We are unable to answer e-mail requests about export orders due to time constraints.   We are unable to process credit cards from outside USA. Product prices & Shipping & handling quotes are only for the 50 states of USA.(Recommendations of where to find similar products outside the US are unavailable.)   We ship by US POST to the 50 States. Prices, Shipping & Handling quoted on our web site are only for shipment the 50 states.   We at times can ship US territories if US Postal Service online can process address, shipping & handling is not higher than charged and no custom forms are required.   We are now unable to ship to most FPO or APO addresses We will refund any order we cannot ship.   We suggest having a stateside family member order the craft metals for you and having them send it on, this way it is considered a gift and is more likely to arrive without complications.   The US Postal service is now requiring forms for all packages to APO & FPO and have new regulations and requirements, in addition to enforcing old ones.   For Merchandise the custom forms require information that we are unable to provide for example: Export license number- we do not have an export license as we are a small company and do not ship outside USA. VAT(value added tax) number, Merchandise class number etc. phone number of customer is required.   In addition the country being shipped to may have restrictions,fees and duties. There are restrictions of what can be shipped for each zone and country. Because we do not know (nor should) the country being shipped to we are unable to comply. We will not ship if we cannot be sure the package will arrive.   We suggest having a stateside family member order the craft metals for you and having them send it on, this way it is considered a gift and is more likely to arrive without complications.     Rush Orders, Next Day or Expedited Shipping:   >Overnight / Next Day / Express Mail SHIPPING IS UNAVAILABLE: We do not ship Next day Air as it is not guaranteed from our remote rural post office location. Our craft metals are not tested nor approved for ingestion, electronic or electrical use nor for support structural use or construction.             Credit card orders:   Use our quick and secure Pay Pal shopping cart. We use Pay Pal which is a safe & secure credit card processor for your protection as well as ours - it is the only way we process credit cards.   Visa , Master card, American Express, Discover, etc. are accepted through the Pay Pal shopping cart. More often than not in the past, it was discovered measurements given to us were off or out of square slightly when received and then it was too late.

 

We only offer widths and lengths as shown for each item. By having standardized sizes we are able to ship quickly at the lowest price.Order a little extra if in doubt about a size needed.

 

We do ship a bit longer to allow for for trimming-to-fit a project. For instance a 1 foot by one yard ordered may ship as one foot by a yard and a inch. This has helped innumerous customers to get an exact fit.

we do not carry Magnetic metal- The metals we offer are non ferris - meaning they do not have iron in them and are non magnetic.

Colored Wire- we sell wire in raw form. We do not offer colored wire because painted wire will get scratched or nicked when crafting. It is best to paint a piece when finished to avoid this blemishing. This way supplies are not tied up into many colors. A wide array of colors of paint and lacquers are available in automotive, hardware and home stores.

Technical Information: We list as accurately as possible the dimensions and properties of our metal offerings. Some of the offered recycled metals are over 75 years old and their exact alloy specifics are not known. We suggest ordering a small amount to find what works best for a particular application. The high grade metals offered are for craft work only. These metals are not of the grades sold for for electronic, pharmaceutical or structural uses.

HOW THE SHOPPING CART WORKS:

Select an item to order from our pages by Clicking on "Add to Cart" SEE HOW TO ORDER for step by step instructions with pictures.

 

When the Shopping cart page comes up specify quantity if you want more than one of units indicated.

 

Then click "update cart" It will then show the new quantity total cost and shipping.

 

To order more items click continue shopping and add more items to the cart. You can also return to by clicking "VIEW CART" at the upper right hand side of every page.

 

When all items being ordered are selected click continue to checkout.

 

You will be prompted from there to either log on to PAY PAL or continue without log on. You do not need to be a member or log on to order.

 

Then enter the rest of the information including: address for billing (credit card) , and Credit card information as requested. Click continue.

 

Then Review order. And edit in Shipping address if different from billing

(make sure address is correct for postal delivery as this will automatically print on the shipping label).

 

Upon confirming your order your will see a screen that confirms. A receipt can be printed from this page. Also an email will be sent to you confirming your order (provided it is not blocked by a spam blocker.)

 

When shipped, Your own tracking number will be e-mailed to you from the US Postal Service upon shipping. Make sure your spam blocker does not block this if you wish to track your order. Your number can be used to track your package by going to: www.usps.gov

 

Allow up to 3 days from shipping date for the US Postal system to list online

information on a shipment. We are unable to provide any more tracking information than what is shown by the US POSTAL SERVICE.

Credit card number Error (incorrect/ invalid):

Solution: Enter card number without dashes.Spaces are ok and help to review numbers.

 

Cards may be not accepted if:

• the billing address does not exactly match the address that your credit card bill is sent to.
• If you are using a foreign credit card it will not be accepted as we do not ship outside the USA.
• Phone number must match credit card providers files.
• The security code on the back of the card must be exactly the last three digits

 

Check with your card provider for these solutions:

• If you have received a card recently check if the card has been activated .(it may work locally but not with paypal credit card processing)
• Most credit cards have daily spending limits your card provider will be able to provide this information .

CRAFT METAL DEFINITIONS & TERMS   BULK METAL:   Save with our bulk metal prices for the crafts person. Metals offered by the running foot or yard are shipped in one length whenever possible.   GAUGE: Is thickness. The higher the gauge number the thinner the metal. See below for gauge charts.   HARDNESS: Basically how easy it is to bend or work. Hardness has more to do with temper than thickness.   A very hard foil can be stiffer than a very soft sheet metal twice the thickness.              Medium Soft is pliable yet holds up for folding and hammering.              Medium Hard is stiff, bends less easily and holds is shape better in larger pieces     Grades:                   Commercial grade: New metal as it comes from mill with a rolled satin finish. It has some very light manufacturing ripples, scratches & color variations .                     Reclaimed -Recycled: This unused older commercial metal often develops character from being in storage for up to 75 years. It has color variations (patina) and may have  scratches, finger prints, ripples and/or dents, but no holes. It is very usable at a good price. We find this metal too useful to scrap.   PATINA: The color that metal acquires with age and oxidation. All the metals we offer are raw with no wax or varnish and will gain patina over time.   Our metals can be buffed up to shiny satin finish with metal cleaners and a buffing pad. We recommend a powdered cleaner called "Barkeepers Friend" available in most grocery stores. A paste wax or clear varnish can be used to keep metal bright.     Patina solutions (available at most hardware stores) can be used to speed the aging process. Gauge Is thickness. The higher the gauge number the thinner the metal.

*This chart shows approximate gauge thickness for wire to give a relative idea of different gauges.

We urge ordering a sample to see exact thickness and to get a feel of a wire. Nothing beats hands on experience.We do not accept returns unless a sample has been ordered first.

The lines may appear to be thin but the 18 gauge is considered metal plate. It difficult to bend and can not be cut with tin snips. A cutting torch or saw is used to cut this. The 18 gauge copper sheet is our heaviest and although it is soft metal it is our stiffest copper. It is shipped flat.

 

The 23-24 gauge sheet metal is heavy - traditionally used for roofs and range hoods, also known as: architectural sheet metal. It will last hundreds of years.

 

 

We carry only the sheet metals shown.

The thickness of our craft metals is approximate to these charts : as close as possible for sculpture and craft work where price is more of a consideration than scientific precision from length to length.

 

The 30 gauge copper sheets are a great hobby & crafts metal. It cuts with a scissors and can be folded easily by hand. And we are one of the few copper suppliers to carry this thickness for metal craft . It is great for garden copper markers.

 

These charts shows approximate standard gauge thickness and weight for wire and sheet and may not appear correctly on all screens.
